How to check if VW e-golf has a heat pump

Heatpump installed or not?

Using a heatpump is more effective than just using resistor heating. For example the Mitsubishi iMiev does not have a heatpump.

Byte av 12V batteri i BMW i3

Fixa byte av 12V-batteri på egen hand!

Förra veckan fick jag detta felmeddelande när jag stängde av bilen. Reagerade inte på det första eller andra dagen, men tredje dagen började jag göra research och när bilen dag 4 spontant sjöng av larmet och var omöjlig att komma in i mha nyckeln blev det allvar rätt snabbt.
Så här löste jag det:
1. Lossa plastbrickan i bakkant på handtaget mha nyckeln som sticks in underifrån i hålet där. Lås sen upp bilen. Om du har batteri nog kvar och står under tak, sänk ner rutorna någon centimeter för att kunna öppna dörrarna utan risk för att rutorna bänds.
2. Öppna frunken och montera ur baljan. Sidopanelerna sitter med kardborre.
3. Lossa minus/jord på batteriet och lägg undan så att den inte kommer åt polen på batteriet.
4. Njut av tystnaden och vinka åt grannarna för att visa att du lika delar skäms som har koll på läget.
5. Ordna fram ett nytt batteri.
6. Köp Vgate iCar2 från Teknikmagasinet tex. https://www.teknikmagasinet.se/produkter/halsa-fritid/outdoor/biltillbehor/vgate-obd2-icar2-wifi
7. Köp Bimmerlink på Appstore/Google Play //kostar 275 kr //
8. Ersätt batteriet med det nya. Flytta ev över de pol-adaptrar som satt på batteriet.  //kostnad ca 1500 kr //
9. Se bilen lysa upp som en julgran och våndas över alla felmeddelanden och att bilen trots nytt batteri vägrar gå i Drive.
10. Mha ODBII-adaptern på plats och bimmerlink igång studera 100-talet felkoder. Svettas lagom.
11. Registrera nya batteriet i bilens ECU mha bimmerlink.
12. Rensa alla felkoder mha bimmerlink.
13. Stäng av bilen och räkna baklänges från 10.
14. Starta bilen och gläds åt att allt är ok igen och att du nu kan lägga tusenlappar på någon smart investering istället för bärgare och akuttid på närmaste BMW-verkstad.
15. Spendera någon timme åt gräsklippning och packning och dra sedan (corona-ansvarsfullt) 50 mil enkel resa till släkten över helgen.
16. Åter hemma igen och bilen har klarat testet och rullar nog 17k mil till med sitt nya batteri.

Compare 22 kWh Renault Zoe with 41 kWh Zoe

In this video we get a demonstration of some diffrences between a early 2014 model vs a newer 2018 ev.


Charging and inverter and orange high voltage cable. Where the batteries are placed and so on.

12V battery starts the vehicle, lights , standard 12v battery same as ICE car. You got a dc to dc converter that is charging the 12V battery from the 400 vold dc (big battery).


22kWh vehicle vs 41 kwh zoe

Early 2014 version motor Q210 until 2015. The motor was made from Continental. Has rapid charging 43kW (AC rapid charging).


The 2018 version has the R-motor. This is called R110, made by Renault. Only has 22kW AC charging.

Master fuse / switch is under the drivers mat.

Common problem: 
Droplinks - antirollbar. The droplinks wear really quickly on the Renault Zoe. Knocking on the fronts.
Vented bonnet system makes greasy bonnet.

Super Soco TS / Ball bearing replacement

Super Soco TS - Ball bearing replacement. They are changing to SKF ball bearings.

They find a motor temperature sensor, the white cable.

It's pretty fast up to 50 km/h. The info from Volkswagon says this (in Swedish):

"Din e-Golf kommer upp till 100 km/h från stillastående på bara 9,6 sekunder. Upp till 60 km/h kommer du på 4,2 sekunder."
