Smart #2 has arrived!
I have to say, the Smart #2 looks really nice! So nice, in fact, that I looked into it and found out it’s rear-wheel drive—a big plus. It features a multi-link rear suspension and a LiFePO4 (LFP) battery, which is more durable than NMC (Lithium Nickel Manganese Cobalt) chemistry. It has a turning radius of under 7 meters and a top speed of 140 km/h.
Small and agile—I think it could sell quite well; I certainly hope so! Hopefully, the technology is reliable. It’s not as extreme as some other recent, over-engineered cars that are bound to run into more trouble. The crash test results also look pretty good, despite its small size.
++ Rear Wheel Drive
++ LFP Battery, 35,6 kWh
Gross weight vehicle: 1345 kg
Normal: 1140 kg
An LFP battery stands for Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO₄) battery, a type of rechargeable lithium-ion battery renowned for its long life, safety, and thermal stability.
Just make sure to rust proof it. Looks like it is made in China and they normally dont think much about rust..
Top speed of 140 km/h and acceleration 0-100 in 11,6 seconds, that just about what you need.
